Types of Lenses
Below are the type of lenses we carry at Vision Care Associates.
Varilux
We use Varilux progressive lenses, the world leader in no-line technology.
NuPolar Polarizing Lenses
Polarizing lenses block reflected sunlight which causes disabling glare when outdoors. These are the best driving lenses and they are especially good for watersports like fishing.
Nikon Single Vision Lenses
For single vision wearers we recommend Nikon lenses as they are the thinnest, lightest, non-glare lenses available.
Transitions Lenses
Transitions lenses can sense the amount of sunlight and automatically darken or lighten to make your eyes feel comfortable in all environments.
Crizal Antireflective Coatings
Crizal antireflective coatings eliminate lens reflections to make your lenses appear invisible and improve your night vision by removing halos and starbursts from around lights.
High Index Plastics
High index plastics will make your lenses thinner and ligher than regular plastic materials.
Lens Treatments
Before purchasing your eyewear, consider the advantage of each of our lens coatings. Think of your glasses as a tool. With the addition of proper coatings, this tool can perform well beyond simple vision correction, and actually enhance your day to day performance, appearance, and stamina.
Tinting
Blocks transmittance of light waves, reducing glare and strain.
UV-400
Blocks UVA, UVB, and UVC bands of ultraviolet light waves. Effective in reducing the risk of cataract development. Sources include fluorescent lighting as well as natural light.
Scratch Coat
While not making plastic polycarbonate or high index lenses “scratch-proof”, it will harden the surface making them less susceptible to scratching from every day wear. Our warranty will replace scratched lenses once in two years at no charge with a purchase of this coating.
Anti-reflective
Improves vision in all lighting conditions to allow more light to reach the eye. Anti- Reflective eliminates reflection while dramatically improving night vision/ night driving and easing fatigue from computer work or reading in harsh light.
Exclusive Two-year Warranty
When you purchase eyewear from Vision Care Associates, you can be sure it is the finest quality available. That is why we offer a two-year warranty. If your frames or lenses break, under normal wearing conditions, we will repair or replace them free. Ask our office for details.
