The Area’s Choice for Contact Lenses
Find the Right Pair for You!
At Vision Care Associates, many of our patients prefer contact lenses for their vision correction needs. Choosing contacts means a simpler style as well as the freedom to wear non-prescription lenses when wearing sunglasses and goggles. The ease and convenience of contacts also means no more lost or damaged glasses!
If you’ve been diagnosed with severe astigmatism or need a high prescription, we may recommend contact lenses for better vision correction. If you wear bifocal glasses, new technology will allow us to fit you with bifocal contact lenses.
The team at Vision Care Associates is well-trained in fitting our patients for contacts, no matter their unique eye care needs. We will begin with a comprehensive eye exam so that we can be sure to get your prescription right the first time.
Here are a few of the contact lens options we offer:
Soft contact lenses are ideal for physical activity because they sit close to the eye and will rarely dislodge. Advanced technology, like silicone hydrogels, have made contact lenses increasingly comfortable. Soft lenses come in many different types and, depending on which one you choose, should be replaced daily, weekly or monthly.
Gas Permeable (GP) Lenses
Gas permeable lenses are more durable than soft contact lenses but they may feel a little uncomfortable at first. The benefit of these lenses is that they increase oxygen to the eye and are easier to handle.
Just like your favorite pair of bifocals, multifocal lenses can help you see both near and far objects. If you’ve been told you aren’t an ideal candidate for contacts because you wear bifocals, call us today and schedule your eye exam!
